Landon Bay, where beauty abounds and nature obliges
The Landon Bay Centre – 302 1000 Islands Parkway, P.O. Box 668 Gananoque, Ontario, K7G 2V2 – (operated by the Barbara Heck Foundation), provides the following:
-family camping – a quiet camping facility – non-alcoholic
-125 campsites – both sunny and shaded, 75 with water and electricity (15 amp), and a dumping station
-a 30’ X 60’ pool, and also public swimming in the St. Lawrence River nearby
-clean washrooms with hot showers and flush toilets
-children’s playground
--camp store on site with basic supplies, ice, and firewood
-two hiking trails in the forest, each about 1 km
-a beautiful scenic lookout of the 1000 Islands
-over 60 floral gardens along a 1’2 km easy walking trail
-a 60’ diameter floral garden – wheelchair accessible
-a large Hall for family picnics (non-alcoholic) and group activities, by reservation
-an excellent area for bird watching – mature forests, meadows, marshlands and rock outcroppings
-an occupied Osprey platform on site
-we offer camping for Scout and Guide groups with conducted walks by appointment
