1000 Islands Bike Path
The most picturesque stretch is east from Gananoque along the 37-kilometre Thousand Islands Parkway, which skirts the shoreline's coves and bays and is followed  by a paved bicycle path.

This is a very scenic route along the St. Lawrence River,
with views of the Thousand Islands. There is little traffic, and the area is residential/rural.

Trail description: 37 km trail runs parallel to the 1000 Islands Parkway between Gananoque and Brockville and forms a section of the Waterfront Trail.

Trail surface: Paved
This trail has been in use for many years and the scenery is beautiful.  Lots of places to stop to eat, drink, and relax. Rockport, Gananoque, Ivy Lea. Canoes to rent. Boat tours. Access to St. Lawrence National Park.
 It still is a great way to enjoy a day in the sun. Enjoy the challenge along the St. Lawrence River in the 1000 Islands Ontario East Canada.

Getting to the trail: Access the trail at any of the towns along its route from Exit 645 to 696 of Highway 401. Via Rail service between Toronto and Montreal stops at Gananoque and Brockville.
