Gananoque has a population of around 5200 and is in the heart of the 1000 Islands.
Some of the best fishing spots around here are the well known 40 acres shoal and that is
a 5 min drive in a boat from our harbour. This year we are having a Big Bass
 Challenge and can win $500 every hour for 2 days. The ultimate thing about our town is it's like
the movie Field of dreams "you build it and they will come" It is built and they do come every year to play here.

 south of Ottawa;
90 miles north (2hours) of Syracuse on Interstate 81.  Cross the border at Ivy Lea International Bridge, west on the 1000 Islands Parkway to Gananoque.
